Another name for this one is ‘the road hole’, due to the fact that as you stand on the tee about to take your swing, there is every chance that a car, lorry or bus will appear on the road to your left from Coalsnaughton and evil thoughts start wandering into your mind. Ignore them, it will never happen. The fairway slopes quite steeply from right to left and the shortest route to the green is over the big trees to the left of the fairway – are you brave enough to try it?
